Bengeo Reserves crashed out of the Reserve Cup in a semi final tie vs Buntingford Wanderers Reserves. The score was 2-2 going into extra time but a late Buntingford goal sealed victory.

Bengeo’s 1st team were back to winning ways on Saturday after beating Elizabeth Allen Old Boys 4-0 in the league. Darren Summonds opened the scoring in the first half followed by another in the second. Mark Fleming tapped in from a good Rob Ingram run and Ricky Ketteridge made in four.

January 18th, 2010On Saturday Bengeo finally played the 4th round Junior Cup tie vs Heath Rovers from Bishops Stortford. It was unfortunate that we had to field a much weakened side with many players either away or still injured. Dicky was in goal with Dellow, Chastell, Morris and Ingram at the back. Summonds, Ward N, Ketteridge and Chang made up the midfield with an experienced front two of Bird and Fleming.
Freezing weather

Snow arrived today and a thaw is unlikely before the weekend. The first team are due to play Heath Rovers in the Herts Junior Cup. A third postponement looks on the cards. The Reserves are due to play Buntingford in the reserve cup. A road run replaced the usual training last night, if the freeze continues into next week there may be an indoor or astro alternative arranged.
