Training this week
August 23rd, 2010League Champions!
May 5th, 2010
On Tuesday Bengeo battled a 0-0 draw vs Broxbourne Badgers. The point is enough to give Bengeo the league title on points with a game to spare.
We were down to the bare bones with P.Ward, N.Ward, Ingram, RJ, Moody, Wozza all missing. Somehow we managed to keep a clean sheet despite Broxbourne having several clear chances. Si Scott threatened on a couple of occasions but supply was lacking, but who cares, we are champions!
Our last game is against Baldock Cannon on Saturday (Hertford Town FC, 3pm KO), expect and all stars XI with regular players either away, injured or playing cricket.
Bengeo 3 Greenbury Utd 0
May 4th, 2010Bengeo all but sealed the league title with a great win vs challengers Greenbury Utd on Saturday. The game was played at Hertford Town due to cricket. Phil Moody was unavailable and replaced by Rob Ingram. Bengeo took an early lead through goals from Jamie Lancaster and Steve Ellis. We battled brilliantly all over the park and defended soundly. Greenbury looked to get back into the game during the second half but Simon Scott netted a third with 15 minutes to play. A much better performance than the Prem Cup Final!
With 2 games to play we are equal on points with Greenbury but with a much better goal difference, and they have now finished their games.
We play Broxbourne Badgers (away) on Tuesday 4th and finally Baldock Cannon on Saturday 8th at Hertford Town 3pm ko.

April 30th, 2010
On Thursday evening Bengeo took a step closer to the league title with a convincing win vs St Margaretsbury. Two great goals came in the first half from Jamie Lancaster and Simon Scott. Jamie added a second half hattrick and Changy scored the 6th late on. Next we play Greenbury Utd, which will be played at Hertford Town FC on Saturday 3pm ko (cricket is being played now on our home pitch).
